This is our first Bursary offered from our newly established parish. An award of $500.00 to a student graduating from high school and entering a post-secondary level of education in the fall of 2019. Applicants needed to be an active member of Holy Spirit Parish and was required to submit a short essay outlining their current activities in the parish and their goals for the future.
After much deliberating, the selection committee decided to award four of our young people with a bursary of $500.00. Those winners are:
- Alex Johnson
- Jack Fury-Miller
- Sophie Meade
- Lauren McGrath
Father David awarded the bursary to each recipient at a ceremony held at Saint Rose of Lima worship site on July 13th and 14th and Saint Matthew’s Worship site on July 14th.

Jack Fury-Miller is attending the University of New Brunswick in Saint John in the Fall. Jack received his bursary from Father David Martin at the 4pm Mass at Saint Rose of Lima Worship Site.
Lauren McGrath is attending the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton in the Fall. Lauren received her bursary from Father David Martin at the 9am Mass at Saint Rose of Lima Worship Site.
Alex Johnson is attending the University of New Brunswick in Saint John in the Fall. Alex received his bursary from Father David Martin at the 11am Mass at St. Matthews Worship Site.
Sophie Meade is attending the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design in Fredericton in the Fall. Sophie received her bursary from Father David Martin at the 11am Mass at St Matthews Worship Site.
